The Governing Body normally meets once per term.  There are six committees: 3 meet as required; the Finance Committee, the Curriculum Committee and the Premises Committee meet once per half term.


Simon Radley - Chair of Governors / Community Rep

Simon is Chair and Community Governor at the school. Simon retired from the Royal Air Force in November 2011 after 35 years experience as aircrew. Since retiring he has worked part time as the office manager for the Waddington Airshow Office. 


Simon originally became associated with Queens Park School when he was serving in 8 SQN at RAF Waddington and got to know the students and staff very well over a period of 6 years helping to raise funds for the school with SQN members.

Jenny Pallister - Vice Chair / Parent Rep

Jenny is our other joint Vice Chair and Parent Governor. Jenny is the mother of three sons, one of her sons has been at St Christopher's for 9 years. Jenny is training at University to become a paramedic and has experience in finance & accountancy.

Jan Shaw - Co-Opted Rep

Ministry of Defence with over 25 years experience. She completed 11 years in the role of community school governor at Queens Park school during which time she held various positions including vice chair. Post amalgamation she joined the team at St Christopher's as a LEA governor. A founder & executive member of the Association of Lincolnshire School Governing Body, she ensured that the requirements of special needs children was represented throughout the county.

Barbara Temple - Co-Opted Rep

Barbara Temple is a co-opted governor at the school. She has recently retired from a teaching career in Alternative Provision in West Sussex where she was Assistant Head for Blended Learning. After a successful move to Lincoln in July 2016, Barbara is now looking forward to getting involved with governance again. She has previously been Chair of Governors for a newly formed special school in West Sussex, bringing together two very different special schools in Burgess Hill. In her time, she has also been Chair of Governors for a Primary School in West Sussex; a parent governor at her son's Primary School in Ashford Hill near Newbury and a member of a management committee for a Children's Secure Unit. With this experience, Barbara now looks forward to being an active member of the governance team at The Lincoln St Christopher's School.

Debbie Gutsell - Parent Rep

Debbie is a very proud mum of of two children, one who attends St Christopher's, her interests are spending time with her family and socialising with friends.  Debbie is a fundraiser for St Christopher's and plans charity balls every year to try and raise extra funds for the young people at the school. Debbie's main focus in life is her children and seeing them happy and content and achieving whatever they capable of.

2. The school is a Community special school.

3. The name of the governing body is ‘The governing body of Lincoln St Christopher’s School’.

4. The governing body shall consist of:

b. 1 local authority governor

c. 1 staff governors

d. 1 head teacher

e. 5 co-opted governors

5. Total number of governors 11.

6. This instrument of government comes into effect on 1st day of July 2015.

7. This Instrument was made by order of the Lincolnshire County Council on the 17th day of July 2015.
