Building Projects

We’re thrilled to announce that the major expansion project at St Christopher’s School is now complete! With plans approved by Lincolnshire County Council, we’ve added an impressive 133 new school places, including a brand-new purpose-built primary school on the former Usher Junior School site on Skellingthorpe Road. Our existing site on Hykeham Road has also undergone extensive redevelopment to become a specialist secondary school.

With both buildings now finished, St Christopher’s capacity has increased from 200 to 333 places, offering improved, localised education for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This project is a significant milestone for Lincolnshire and forms part of the council’s wider strategy to enhance SEND provision across the county, developed with input from special school leaders and the Lincolnshire Parent Carer Forum.

We are incredibly grateful to the local authority for their commitment and investment in our school. These new facilities will enable us to provide a first-class education for our current students and future generations.

It’s been an exciting journey, and we appreciate the support of our community along the way. We’re looking forward to sharing updates on the next phase, including opportunities for parents, staff, and students to get involved as we continue enhancing the school environment. Thank you for being part of this exciting new chapter for St Christopher’s!
