Gatsby Benchmark

Good career guidance is critical if young people are to raise their aspirations and capitalise on the opportunities available to them. At St. Christopher’s we follow the Gatsby Benchmark Guidance to ensure that our students have the best possible careers offer.

We use the Compass Assessment Tool to evaluate our performance against the Gatsy benchmarks. This evaluation is carried out annually in order to capture the different career opportunities for our pupils from Years 7-14. 

Throughout the year, all of the visitors, workshops, work experience and any enterprise projects will be logged per pupil on the Compass Assessment Tool to help us track the provision that pupils are getting at St. Christopher’s. This will help us to address any areas where students need more experiences and opportunities. Staff can work with the Careers Co-ordinators to ensure students are getting a rich experience.
