St Christopher’s School is an all age forward-thinking and innovative special school with a diverse pupil population. Our over 230 pupils have profound, severe or moderate learning difficulties and we have many pupils on the autistic spectrum. We are located in Lincoln. 


Pupil, family and staff engagement is extremely important to us and we endeavor to provide all our children and young people with memorable learning experiences that will truly enrich their lives.


We strive to involve the whole school community in making St Christopher’s a safe, happy, and truly outstanding place for our provision in which our pupils to can learn. Our talented, multi-disciplinary staff team have high expectations of our pupils and we aim to provide the kind of special education which families want for their children.

We are looking to appoint a midday supervisor who has a good understanding of children with additional needs and who is committed to making the lunch time experience for our students as comfortable and organised as possible:


The role of a midday supervisor will vary depending on the need of the school however we would expect the role to include:


Supporting students whilst they eat in the lunch hall

Supporting students with eating and playing in their classroom

Coordinating the arrival and collection of meals to identified classes

Supporting in the kitchen if needed

Ensuring that students are supervised at all times both whilst eating and play time


This role is initially being offered to parents within the federation of St Christopher’s and St Francis. If we are unsuccessful in filling the vacancy we will then aim to broaden our search within the local community. We are looking for parents who would like to volunteer in school:


We are keen for parents to support in taking our students in the community on local trips and out of the classroom learning opportunities.

In addition we are looking for parents who have particular skills or interests e.g. enjoy listening to students read. We would of course take into account which age range and type of class you would prefer to work in.
